Girls start post season play Thursday
The Cook County girls will meet the Carlton Bulldogs at 7:45 Thursday night in Esko for the first round of the sub-section basketball playoffs.
The Bulldogs won the right to meet the Vikings by defeating the Fond du Lac Ojibwe last night, 73 to 11, in the play-in game.
The number two-seed Vikings come into the game at 16 and 8 for the season while Carlton is now 9 and 14.
Tomorrow night’s game in Esko starts at 7:45. It will be broadcast on WTIP starting with the pre-game discussion around 7:30. Norman Moe and Dick Dorr will be on the road with the Vikes to bring you all the action.
The winner of the Cook County-Carlton game will move on to the quarter-final round at 6 PM, Saturday at Duluth Denfeld. The other team will be decided tomorrow night in the game between McGregor and Cromwell that precedes the Vikings’ game in Esko.
