Dog Days of Winter celebration on March 8

You don’t need a dog to enjoy the ‘Dog Days of Winter’ event this weekend. WTIP volunteer Yvonne Mills spoke with Cathy Quinn of Go Dog North Shore, and Mary Manning with Cook County Dog Mushers Incorporated, on North Shore Morning

The first-ever Dog Days of Winter is scheduled for Sunday, March 8th from 11 am until 4 pm at Trail Center Lodge on Poplar Lake. This day-long event features multiple dog sled races, skijoring races, snowman building competitions, snow sculptures and much more.  Mushers and skijorers interested in participating in the fun run can register on-site the day of the event.  The event is hosted by Trail Center Lodge, Cook County Dog Mushers Incorporated and Go Dog North Shore.
