I was first introduced to photography through my parents' 8mm family films and photos in the 1950's. I've now been shooting photos for over 20 years, and have progressed from film cameras, to digital “point and shoot', to digital SLR. I'm continually learning the many different aspects of photography....including composition, editing and printing, and enjoy studying the photos of other photographers of all levels, who inspire me to become a better photographer.

My love for the northwoods of Minnesota leads me to try to capture in pictures the beauty of nature for others to enjoy. I attempt to show “Life in Motion”, in hope of evoking emotion and awareness of the world around us.

I was fortunate to have been able to join my wife, who is a nurse, on several international medical trips, as well as participating as a team member on international trips through my employment at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to build homes for low-income families. This has given me the opportunity to capture in photos people of other cultures doing activities of their daily lives. Following these trips I create a “photo journey” of pictures, music and interviews, to raise awareness of the medical and basic needs of people in other areas the world.

My hope is to make a positive difference in the world, both by creating awareness of needs, as well as by the donation of a share of the profits from my photo sales to help others. I believe that each of us has God-given talents, and I am thankful to have been given opportunities to use my passion for photography to help others.
