Friday, April 22 was Earth Day and one year ago, Dave and Amy Freeman of Grand Marais began an 11,000 mile expedition, traveling across North America by kayak, canoe, and dogsled. They are back in Cook County for a short stay before they return north for a 2,400 mile canoe trip to Grand Portage.

WTIP’s Jay Andersen talked with the Freemans on “Daybreak”.
