The Cook County Board of Commissioners Tuesday went on record opposing the proposed Voter ID amendment to the state constitution.

Commissioner Jim Johnson made the motion to oppose the Voter ID Constitutional Amendment based on the extra cost to the taxpayers that it would have if passed.

The motion was seconded by Commissioner Sue Hakes and the vote was unanimous.
