County board keeps Sobanja as chair

In a special meeting Tuesday, Cook County Commissioners re-elected Commissioner Fritz Sobanja to serve as chair for the coming year. In Sobanja’s absence Vice Chair Jim Johnson will conduct meetings.

Commissioners elected to kept their departmental liaison assignments the same as well as most of their committee assignments. Regular board meetings will continue to be held the second, third and fourth Tuesday mornings of each month.
