Recently, Congressman Chip Cravaack was in Cook County to celebrate a newly-signed law that allows road crews to expand a section of Cook County Highway Eight.

Cravaack introduced the legislation that cleared the way for the development of the four-mile stretch near the Cook County Airport. The bill was signed earlier last week by President Barack Obama. Crews are now repaving and widening the road.

The Congressman spoke with WTIP’s Roger Linehan on Thursday, August 16 about the legislation as well as about the upcoming election campaign.
