Celebration planned in recognition of grants awarded to local nonprofits: September 16

Six local nonprofit organizations recently received grants, and a celebration is planned on September 16th in recognition. The Cook County Community Fund's board chair, Tracy Benson, spoke with WTIP volunteer Mark Abrahamson about these grants on North Shore Morning.

Cook County, Minnesota – The Cook County Community Fund, an affiliate fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, is pleased to announce six grants totaling $11,680.57 were awarded this year to nonprofit organizations serving the Cook County area. 
 
“The Cook County Community Fund is able to fund and encourage important projects and organizations in our community, from health care to the arts to the environment, and more, thanks to the strong support of our many donors.  Please join us on Tuesday, September 16th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Johnson Heritage Post as we recognize our grantees and celebrate our donors,” said Tracy Benson, CCCF board chair.
