The filing period for city, ISD166 school board and North Shore Hospital board ends Tuesday, Aug.17. So far only a few candidates have filed.
 
Alden (Dave) Palmer has filed for city council as has incumbent Bill Lenz. Mark Sandbo has filed for his former mayoral seat.
 
Three positions are open for ISD166. Incumbent Mary Sanders has filed in District 3. Districts 1 and 5 remain open. Three North Shore Hospital and Care Center board positions are also open. All the incumbents have filed for re-election.
 
Filing for city offices is at City Hall weekdays, 8am to 5pm. School and hospital filings are at the Cook County Courthouse during regular hours.
