In this feature, Anthropologist Dr. Matthew Boyd of Thunder Bay, Ontario talks about his latest research, which uncovered evidence that Native people along the north shore of Lake Superior were consuming corn as far back as 500 A.D., much earlier than most researchers had previously believed. Dr. Boyd is an anthropologist, archaeologist and professor at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
