In Part 4 of Bringing Out the Best of Ourselves, host Marcia Hyatt explores how to integrate power and love for healthy community dialogues. She speaks with Adam Kahane, author of Power and Love, as well as Dr. Ginny Belden Charles who shares regional success stories of integrating power and love. Finally, Marcia weaves these themes together to examine how to find forgiveness to move our community forward.
A Story of Forgiveness
Leo Kohorst was only 22 years old when his life was tragically taken on October 17, 2010. A native of Farming, Minnesota, he was a student at the University of Minnesota pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, and is remembered as a dedicated student with a “kooky” sense of humor and a passion for music.
Leo’s mother, Barb, shares Leo’s life in “Leo’s Legacy,” and her personal experience of dealing with the pain of Leo’s death and her story of forgiveness in “My Forgiveness Journey.”
Finally, she shares “Going On a Journey”, a song written and performed by Leo from his album "I can't find any chord except my vocal chords."
