Brea Boomer makes coaches' All-State

Congratulations are in order for Cook County Vikings basketball senior Brea Boomer. She’s been selected as an All-State Honorable Mention by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.

Brea scored more than 1,000 points in her Viking career. She was also selected for Polar League All-Conference honors.

Brea averaged 16.6 per game – eighth in the conference. She posted a 54 percent shooting average which placed her third overall in the Polar League. She was the Vike’s leading rebounder with a 9.2 per game average and she also averaged three assists per game.

When interviewed on WTIP after achieving her 1,000 point mark, she said he plans to attend the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Basketball, of course is high on her agenda.
