Each year the Cook County Athletic Booster Club picks two community members for the Fan of the Year honor. On Thursday night the club named Bob Carter as Fan of the Year stating, “Since moving to Cook County in 1998, Bob Carter has really plugged into his community. You’ve likely heard him volunteering on WTIP Community Radio’s Roadhouse or broadcasting a Cook County Vikings Football, Basketball or Baseball game. Perhaps you’ve seen him working in the Vikings Booster Club Concession Stand, teaching a Quit Smart class, serving turkey at the Community Thanksgiving Dinner or participating in an Undoing Racism Workshop.”

The Booster Club will announce the other Fan of the Year during the home basketball games on Friday, Feb. 26.
