Anders Zimmer to compete for Junior Olympic spot

Anders Zimmer, 14, of Grand Marais, has been selected to once again compete in Marquette, MI this week for a spot on the U.S. Junior Olympic National team. While in Marquette, Anders will be competing in slalom, giant slalom and the downhill.

If he does well in Michigan, Anders will earn a spot on the team and then go onto compete in the Junior Olympics in Vail, CO. in March.

Anders races in the USSA (United States Skiing Association) division in the J3 group. He competes in races held throughout the states in the Midwest and Colorado.
