LSProject: 50 Years on Mic Mac Lake

Mic Mac Lake is a remote lake within Tettegouche State Park. Along its shore are a group of log buildings that used to be known as the “Tettegouche Camp.”  For 50 years this camp was the property of a wealthy businessman named Clement Quinn. WTIP's Martha Marnocha took a walking tour of the Camp with Park Naturalist Kurt Mead to learn more about the history of this special place.

Minnesota Deer Hunters Association Sportsmen's Banquet set for October 10

An evening of games, raffles, prizes and dinner are part of the Sportsmen’s Banquet on October 10. WTIP volunteer Mary Manning spoke with banquet coordinator Stephanie Radloff on North Shore Morning. 

The event is October 10 at the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais. Doors open at 4:30 pm. Reservations for dinner needed by Wednesday October 7.  More information and reservations with Stephanie at 387-3151.
