The First Annual Gunflint Trail Trash & Treasure Day is this Saturday, May 29. 
 
“It’s going to be a fun one,” said Sarah Hamilton. Hamilton, of Trail Center Lodge on Poplar Lake, organized the event.   
 
“It’s basically going to be 60 miles of garage sales and yard sales. You won’t even need a map. Right now there are signs at the base of the Gunflint Trail, and there will be signs that take you up the Trail and to every sale. Right now we have 26 businesses that are participating.  That’s almost every business on the Gunflint Trail.”
 
In addition to sales at businesses along the trail, there will be lots of private yard sales to check out.
