31st Annual John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon set to start on January 25

Commemorating the life of John Beargrease, the son of a Chippewa chief who delivered mail by dog sled, the 31st annual John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon is set to start this Sunday. WTIP host Mark Abrahamson spoke with Jason Rice of the board of directors for the Marathon on North Shore Morning. 

The 2015 race will begin in Two Harbors, Minnesota, at the Highway 2 gravel pit with a 2pm start on Sunday, January 25th.
