There are several options for community members to commemorate Memorial Day, on Monday, May 28.

There will be a community service at 9:30 a.m. at Maple Hill Church at the Maple Hill cemetery.

At 11 a.m., American Legion Post 413 and the American Legion Auxilliary will be conducting a remembrance ceremony on the lawn at the Cook County Courthouse. The auxilliary is hosting a luncheon afterwards at the home of the American Legion, Grandma Ray’s in Grand Marais.

And the First Congregational Church is sponsoring a Memorial Day supper at 3 p.m. in the pavilion at Grand Marais Recreation Park.
