Climate Change Impacts on North Shore Fisheries
Minnesota's North Shore, like the rest of the planet, is facing a changing climate. There are some who dispute the cause of why this is happening, but few can argue that temperatures are warming, including water temperatures on inland lakes, streams and rivers, and in Lake Superior. These changes to the environment will impact the fish that live in these treasured waters, as well as the many anglers who pursue them.
WTIP created this project to cover not just the issues facing the Lake Superior North Shore watershed as the climate changes, but to provide awareness about the realities of these changes.
