Cadwell interviews for administrator job in other Minnesota county

Six months shy of reaching four years on the job, Cook County Administrator Jeff Cadwell informed WTIP this week he recently interviewed for a similar position in Becker County.

Cadwell went through a series of interviews in Becker County – including an in-person interview Jan. 10 in Detroit Lakes – with the intention or hope of becoming their next county administrator. Ultimately, Cadwell did not get the job in Becker County.

This means, at least for the time being, that Cadwell will remain in his post here in Cook County. During an interview with WTIP News Director Joe Friedrichs, Cadwell said he hopes to remain in Cook County and eventually “retire here.” The reason Cadwell was interested in the Becker County position was to be closer to family, he said.
