Bridge replacement is under way on the Ski Hill Road in Lutsen. Although this project has been on the Cook County Highway Department’s maintenance schedule for some time, it may come as a surprise for some visitors.

It is estimated that the bridge work will be complete by the end of August, weather permitting.

In the meantime, the footbridge adjacent to the road bridge is open. And for those who wish to visit Papa Charlie’s Restaurant or the Lutsen Mountains Gondola, a pedestrian shuttle is being offered. To request a shuttle, visit the Eagle Ridge Resort registration desk.

WTIP’s Rhonda Silence checked in with County Highway Engineer Krysten Foster to get an update on the project.
