Board chair talks Truth in Taxation meeting, citizen budget committee

The Cook County Truth in Taxation meeting is Thursday, Nov. 29 starting at 6 p.m.

Cook County residents began receiving their proposed 2019 tax statements toward the middle of the month. The proposed levy for Cook County is currently set for an increase of 5.99%. A final levy and budget must be adopted before the end of December.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Cook County Board Chair Ginny Storlie about this year’s Truth in Taxation meeting and other county news.
