Area youth hockey team wins tournament in Duluth

The Two Harbors Bantam youth hockey team played in the Duluth Up North tournament this past weekend, November 24 and 25. The team has players from all across the North Shore, including some from here in Cook County.  Competing against the Bantams in the tournament were teams from Mora, Westfort, Hermantown, and West Fargo.

The Bantams had a great start to the tournament, defeating Mora and the Westfort Maroons on the first day, 6-4 and 5-1 respectively.  They were able to carry that momentum into the next day with a 4-2 victory over Hermantown, and then a 4-1 win against West Fargo to win the tournament.

The next tournament for the Bantams begins on Friday, December 7 in Two Harbors.
