Each year in April, a campaign is launched to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) has announced the theme of the 2018 campaign, which is meant to build on the powerful voices that have emerged following the #MeToo movement. The theme for 2018 is “Embrace Your Voice.”

Lindsay Gau of the Violence Prevention Center here in Grand Marais joined WTIP’s North Shore Morning host Dennis Waldrop to talk about the work of the Violence Prevention Center and to share her thoughts on “Embrace Your Voice.”
