Another teenager tests positive for COVID-19 in Cook County as case count climbs to six

Another Cook County teenager has tested positive for COVID-19, the second such case within a week and the sixth case of the new coronavirus in the county since the start of the pandemic.

The most recent local case involves a local teenager who is a male resident of Cook County. The confirmed cases will appear in the coming days on the Minnesota Department of Health website. It is currently listed on the Cook County hub website.

Cook County reported new cases last Thursday, Friday and Sunday. There are now a total of six cases in Cook County as the start of the school year quickly approaches. Cook County Public Health Supervisor Grace Grinager shared the news of the sixth confirmed case during a meeting of the Cook County ISD 166 School Board tonight (Aug. 13). 

In Cook County, all six confirmed cases of COVID-19 involve people who are in their teens, 20s or 30s.
