Alarming police call is a prank

When the Cook County Sheriff’s Office released this week’s listing of 9-1-1 calls, there was a call that seemed alarming. However, upon investigation it turns out there was no cause for action.
                                          
A few minutes before 1 p.m. on Monday, April 10, the law enforcement center received a report that something that looked like a human foot hanging out of the trunk of a green sedan parked in Grand Marais.
 
A sheriff deputy found the car, a 1997 Bonneville registered to a Grand Marais man. The item attached to the car truck was a stuffed toy shaped like a human foot. There was no further investigation.
