200 years later: Looking back at the merger of North West Company and the Hudson’s Bay Company
The Thunder Bay Museum has created an exhibit commemorating the 200th anniversary of the merger of the North West Company and the Hudson’s Bay Company. Brian spoke with the curator of the museum, Michael DeJong, to learn more about the merger and why it matters.
Right after, Brian also spoke with Tom McCann. Tom is one of the leaders of a local book club that is reading a history book, "Rainy Lake House," written about that same period in the 1820s. Listen to both conversations below.
