Lodging tax revenues start to climb back

Lodging tax revenues for the month of January have increased over December 2009 numbers for all reporting tourism associations. Lutsen-Tofte revenues for January are up about 8 percent from the previous month, Grand Marais revenues are up over 10 percent and the Gunflint Trail revenues for January are up about 50 percent.

While lodging tax revenues are edging up, this January’s numbers are down 10.6 percent from January 2009.
